OWN THE ROOM: MASTERING EXECUTIVE PRESENCE Professional Development Workshop March 8th | 12 PM – 1:30 PM EST | 9am – 10:30 AM PST | Virtual Have you ever felt shut down, interrupted, not taken seriously, or tuned out when you speak in meetings or any business conversation? While women have made progress in many ways and yet, we continue to work hard to have our voices heard. These challenges are everywhere, and, especially prominent in male-dominated companies. We will help you learn about asserting oneself to be heard and balance being assertive vs. being perceived as aggressive. And join us to improve our ability to speak up in meetings, be true to ourselves and present our expertise. We will work on finding the “balance” in our presence (being too submissive vs too aggressive). We will have practice improving our balance though body-based mindfulness. Each woman ‘avoids’ being true to themselves a bit differently. We’ll learn some ways this can look, talk about self-sabotaging habits, invite you to identify some of your habits, and explore how to ‘interrupt the pattern’ or how to not do the thing you usually do that diminishes your expertise. Women face many barriers in male-dominated industries. How can you create a space where you can thrive even during times of conflict? Changing your mindset on conflict to one of enriching relationships by vocalizing the impact of minimizing and derailing behaviors can change the course of even the most difficult relationships. Challenge yourself to create a space where you feel confident confronting the status quo and changing the dynamic can help you tackle tough interpersonal situations with confidence and find yourself on a path to self-assurance. This professional development event is a unique opportunity to learn from two distinguished speakers: LeeAnn Mallorie, founder of Guts & Grace and Leading in Motion, known for empowering women in leadership, Together, they will provide invaluable insights and strategies for enhancing leadership impact, embracing diversity and inclusion, and driving meaningful change within organizations. This workshop will be lead by Pam Sammarco, CEO, Green Training Associates LLC, WCS Career Development Board Officer. MEET OUR SPEAKERS
