The Women’s Energy Network Greater NYC Chapter and Women in Cleantech and Sustainability (WCS) invite you to join a panel discussion on how states could accelerate their achievement of their Renewable Energy Standards (RPS) through community solar projects and how to finance them.

Community solar projects allow average people to purchase a piece of a large solar installation built offsite or subscribe to its electricity output that is discounted to a tariff or retail rate. Eliminating the need for a roof and allowing individuals to tap into the benefits of scale, community solar has opened up the solar market to many new residential and commercial customers. Given these benefits the solar industry is witnessing an unprecedented wave of these projects.

Panelists include:

  • Johana Afenjar of Clearway
  • Ines Serrao of Silicon Valley Bank
  • Annie Tsai of Foley & Lardner

Moderated by Caroline Trowbridge of Leeward and WCS Events Co-Chair.

This virtual event will take place on Thursday, October 7th at 10 am PT (1 pm ET). The event will feature an introduction to our speakers and a panel session, followed by Q&A.
