To jump-start the new year, WCS presents a discussion on how simple, yet profoundly impactful, mindfulness practices can bolster climatetech innovation, equity and personal resiliency. The panel will include Rhonda V. Magee, M.A., J.D., a leading thought and practice innovator in mindfulness-based antiracism and social justice, Professor of Law at the University of San Francisco and author of the award-winning book, The Inner Work of Racial Justice: Healing Ourselves and Transforming Our Communities Through Mindfulness. Lauren Lambrecht, Sr HR Business Manager at Microsoft, will also join, bringing more than 20 years of experience helping individuals and organizations to reach their greatest potential. Glenna Wiseman, WCS BOD member and leading clean energy marketing and communications consultant, will moderate. Panel Agenda (times in PT): Rhonda V. MageeSpeaker Book Author, Mindfulness Teacher, and Law Professor at University of San Francisco A leading thought and practice innovator in the area of mindfulness-based antiracism and social justice, Rhonda V. Magee, M.A., J.D., is Professor of Law at the University of San Francisco. She has spent more than twenty years exploring the intersections of anti-racist education, social justice, and contemplative practices. A Fellow of the Mind and Life Institute, she is an international keynote speaker and advisor to a range of mindfulness-based professional development organizations, including the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness, the Brown Center for Mindfulness, the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, and the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society. Rhonda’s award-winning book, The Inner Work of Racial Justice: Healing Ourselves and Transforming Our Communities Through Mindfulness, was named one of the top ten books released for the year by the Greater Good Science Center, and received similar recognition by Psychology Today and the editors of Mindful.org.
