The Inflation Reduction Act signed into law in 2022 directly supports ESG principles and incentivizes ESG investing, allocating $369 billion for climate change and green energy investment. This accelerates climate technology opportunities in the U.S. and with this opportunity comes increased regulation. Meanwhile, the European Union has been pushing for greater transparency in sustainability reporting from companies that plan to do business in or with the European Union. This affects organizations of all sizes, especially those partnering with or supplying to large public organizations.

Last year, WCS’s ESG event focused on getting started with ESG reporting, avoiding early/naïve pitfalls, and using the information to drive culture change. Since then, the ESG reporting timeline has advanced--inching closer towards mandatory requirements. In this year’s discussion, speakers will focus on the details – what you need to do to get started or build on your existing ESG reporting to stay up to date and prepare for new requirements.

In this session, you will learn:

  • Why should ESG reporting be adopted swiftly by organizations that have not yet started?
  • What are the emerging trends of ESG reporting and how do they affect my business?
  • What is the process for composing an ESG report?

Event Agenda (PT):

  • 5:00 - 5:05 Arrival, introductions, and housekeeping
  • 5:05 - 5:40 Panel discussion
  • 5:40 - 5:55 Q&A from the audience
  • 5:55 - 6:00 Thank you and wrap-up
